Pebble (WMATA Triptych)

Pebble is a latticed sculptural bench built of hand-forged stainless steel rods that was designed to encircle an existing cherry tree, and negotiate a unique set of site boundaries. The result is a one-of-a-king seating experience that is fully integrated with its context. The piece also provides a horizontal counterpoint to Hooray and Aura, which were also part of the WMATA Triptych commission.

Pebble was completed in 2022 with the support of the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority’s Art in Transit Program and is located at 300 7th Street SW, Washington, DC.
